About the game
Wolfenstein 3D is a groundbreaking first-person shooter developed by id Software and originally released for PC in 1992. The SNES version (1994) brought the revolutionary FPS gameplay to Nintendo's 16-bit console, published by Imagineer.
You play as William "B.J." Blazkowicz, an Allied spy who must escape from Castle Wolfenstein, fighting through hordes of enemies, collecting weapons and treasure, and ultimately confronting the evil leaders behind the Master State's superweapon program.
The SNES port features modified levels, new weapons including a flamethrower and rocket launcher, and an overhead map system. Due to Nintendo's family-friendly policies at the time, Nazi references were removed and guard dogs were changed to mutant rats, but the intense action and challenging gameplay remain intact.
